Tip 3: Work on Specific Skills in Which Your Child is Lacking
Unfortunately students are constantly tested during the school year and most parents take those results, glance at them and never revisit them. The next time you get results from a standardized test back make sure you take the time to really study those results and ask questions of the teachers if you don't understand the results.
Look at the areas in which your child is deficient and start focusing on working on those skills with them. Make sure you focus on the specific skill and not the general area. So if they are deficient in Slope Intercept focus on that and not just Math.
If you are uncomfortable helping your child, reach out for assistance from a teacher or tutor.
