Tip 5: Teach Your Children How to Prioritize
I believe prioritization is something that should be taught early and continued throughout their matriculation through school.
So how do you do this?
Well for each family/child it is different and it is all based on what works for your child. For instance, I have always stressed to my students the importance of looking at school as if it is their job. When you don't perform well on your job you are reprimanded and it can result in a loss of the job. So if you don't perform well in school it can result in bad grades which can result in a loss of freedom (via parents grounding you) or a loss of material items (like phones, tablets, computers).
If they learn to prioritize early on and realize that school is their job they are more prone to do their best to perform well.
